metal!

metaaaaaaaaaaaaal! noice, but I couldn't really hear the drums, good piece, just put the drums up a little.

HahnStampfer responds:

I can hear the drums fine...

good

not a bad track. its quite dynamic, the drums are fine, the guitars are nicely 'arranged'. Of course, being imitations of guitars, they sound very unrealistic, but I have the exact same problem (listen to may latest post to see for yourself). Anyways, that's forgivable. Keep it up.

Tetfima responds:

WOW, that is wierd, because I was listening to that track when I was reading this, how wierd is that?

nawt bad

i listened to all of it. not bad. it has some interesting wierd melodies in there, a bit arab-ish (that's how i feel them). the beat is fine too. this track can also go for trance (synth-wise). Keep it up.

nice composition

not bad. it's not perfectly smoothed out, but the composition is diverse and interesting. good work. oh and can you tell me what software you used? nice instruments.

Esn responds:

I just used Finale 2007, with the GPO. The "2 harps" were originally a guitar and a santur (this was written for a rather diverse real-life ensemble), but the GPO in Finale didn't have either one so I changed them both to "harp". I think it worked out relatively well.

Could you please tell me (PM, perhaps) what in particular wasn't smoothed out? I know that there are some things, but I'd really like some specific pointers if possible.

Thanks very much for your review. :)

nice & sharp

good one. i guess you really are becomin good at DnB. tell me where you got the classy DnB bass plz. oh, and avoid using short looped samples of drumbeats. i dont know how you made this track, but composing your own beats is far more rewarding (at least to the composer). anyways, keep it up.

Heaven6 responds:

Thanks. I made the bass in fl studio 5, or 6 and 7, using the 3x Osc. Go to the audio forums and scrool down untill you see some thing like 'DnB tutorial', or something similar. Thanks fo the review!

sweet

not bad kid, a little over-distorted, but who am I to criticize you about that, I receive alot of distortion related criticism. Otherwise, you've put this track in the right place. Basicly you've fused a bunch of different genres (arabic, oriental, rock, ambient). You can probably put this one in ambient. Sounds good. keep it up.

Hazard-Productions responds:

sweet, thanks!

hm

well, its relatively bad ass. nice chords, nice drums. the piano chords in the beginning are a little cut out from each other, you should make the transitions sound smoother (like using 'fretless' for guitar, etc.). anyways, good piece.

noice

yeah i know, it sucks when you don't get reviews. don' worry, i'll save yer arse :). this composition sounds great, it is diverse, pleasant, and sounds like it was played live or something. What's the software you use? Anyways, keep it up.

Sir-Panda responds:

The software is called Edirol. It's a VST plugin for programs. A good example of Edirol is a song called Make It Rain. It's in the audio portal ^^.

Thanks for Le Review bro

not bad

this one is kinda fun, dynamic and dancy. but you better be careful with the distortion too :). anyways, keep it up.

nice

the beat was pretty diverse, some nice synths too. check out my 'Cellophane Wraps Sad People'. Keep it up yo!

PS. Somebody rated this piece with a 2.50! What the feck, it's one of the better stuff on NG. Deserves at least a 4. I'll give ye a 5 :).

DSMagnum responds:

Thanks man! I appreciate the kind words. I'll look at your piece now.

thanks for the reviews and ratings
