good stuff

this one's great actually, a bit repetitive, which isn't bad for me, but others may complain. Anyways, great beat, great synths.

Spikrodd responds:

its part of a song that im using to get signed. wish me luck!

WARP RECORDS HERE I COME!

good job

great ol' skool industrial-ish beat, awesome bass/synth (not original, but great!). this track is really fun i guess. I'll give you me 5 ;). Keep it up.

VegetarianMeat responds:

Thanks for the fiver, and the review :)

noice

well, if it ain't RedHotPoker with a new mindblowing ambient. I was trying to mimic your style in the intros to some of my recent tracks, but I can't get it as well as you do. still great work here, and thanks for telling me about Audacity, really helps me. Keep it up yo!

PS. Once again, this reminds me of American McGee's Alice. Find the soundtrack somewhere online; if you don't give shit about whether it's original, I can give you a torrentlink.

RedHotPoker responds:

You sir are a plum. (lololololol)

Your style is far to good to be crapping up with my shit. For one you can play your own instruments. That is a trait i admire whole hartadly. I just wish i could afford something of any musical merrit. I am no musician. I am a sound recorder.

I'm glad your enjoying audacity. You can't go wrong with a free program. :)

An as for American McGee's Alice please can you send me a link to a torrent. Is it some sort of twisted version of alice? I can only imagine the wonderful bizare things they could have done to one of the strangest storys around. Thanks for the review.

wow

not bad kid, you got some high quality stuff. this piece is perfect, the only flaw is that it's not 100% original, let's say it's somewhere in the 90%. Great beat though really loud, great for dancing to. Much better than ordinary house I think. Damn, Reason has some real high quality sounds, no wonder all the reason tracks i've heard sound so bombastic. thanks for reviewing my stuff, yeah i suck ass, but i'm learning, probably will start using reason for some more ass-kick-ish compositions. Keep it up yo, and don't let yourself down cause there are haters, there'll always be haters.

p4c responds:

hehe ty :D i think we are all learning, bro. i do admit that i did pull segments out of loops for some effects, so the originality complaint is justified, but it came out well :D

yeah reason has a lot of nice samples and loops. with some distortion/added reverb, lo-fi sounding stuff could be spiffed to the max :D btw (assuming you read this) what program do u use currently?

not bad

it is quite horror-ish. Only two things: correct the distortion (with filter), and make it LONGER! that's all, other than that it's fine. Check out my latest ambient (well, not really ambient, but anyways). Keep it up.

sexmachine699 responds:

thanks for the review but just remind this...i am a novice soo ^^'...

:D

:D. Well OK, it's not really perfect, it's good though, it's fine, it's alright. Advice: Add more bass, low sounds put the 'Bass' into the 'Drum and Bass'. But hell, even my DnB sounds nothing like professional DnB, check out my latest post to see for youself. We're all trying though, that's good enough. Keep it up! I'll give ye a 5 so that other people can see this and judge it (otherwise it 'disappears' before anyone gets to review it).

Trickmixer responds:

thanks for your support.. yeah. ill admit im fairly new to the whole DnB genre. thanx for giving me your advice about the bass noise. just for the record, this was intended to be a loop so in case your wondering, thats why its so short =P
thanx for your review

techno

i don't give money to the poor. i wish i could, but then again, i never know if they really are poor. this track is ok, sounds better later. a good advice would be for you to make it more attractive in the beginning, because many people quickly lose interest and never give longer tracks a chance. keep it up.

DJ-Infinity responds:

Very good advice! I'll bear that in mind. Thanks! :)

metal!

metaaaaaaaaaaaaal! noice, but I couldn't really hear the drums, good piece, just put the drums up a little.

HahnStampfer responds:

I can hear the drums fine...

good

not a bad track. its quite dynamic, the drums are fine, the guitars are nicely 'arranged'. Of course, being imitations of guitars, they sound very unrealistic, but I have the exact same problem (listen to may latest post to see for yourself). Anyways, that's forgivable. Keep it up.

Tetfima responds:

WOW, that is wierd, because I was listening to that track when I was reading this, how wierd is that?

nice composition

not bad. it's not perfectly smoothed out, but the composition is diverse and interesting. good work. oh and can you tell me what software you used? nice instruments.

Esn responds:

I just used Finale 2007, with the GPO. The "2 harps" were originally a guitar and a santur (this was written for a rather diverse real-life ensemble), but the GPO in Finale didn't have either one so I changed them both to "harp". I think it worked out relatively well.

Could you please tell me (PM, perhaps) what in particular wasn't smoothed out? I know that there are some things, but I'd really like some specific pointers if possible.

Thanks very much for your review. :)

thanks for the reviews and ratings
