[Notes in a Bottle]

i like the low notes, gives it a nice drone feel. i would probably take a little off the treble and add a tiny bit of reverb. otherwise it sounds great by itself, and you can probably layer extra stuff if you wanted. and if you want some notes to sound softer and quiter than others (giving it a more 'realistic' feel), you can use a trick where you simply change/adjust the volume level of each note to your liking.

Yeah, I noticed 'actual' pianists, what they do is have very inconsistent dynamics so one note is loud and then the other is soft and then the other is loud... and then it's fast tempo, then slow tempo, and on and on and on.
That (in this case) would have made it sound realistic. But also tripled production time. And truthfully I wasn't going to bother submitting this song anyway.

But yes, it's all good advice... and in the future, I'll be sure to do some of that sort of stuff to make it better.

i dig the track, the tune is really epic. i don't like your generalization/separation of music. genres = bullshit. also, the tune in this track sounds 'classical', is it the beat alone that makes it hip hop?

this could honestly be an ambient track of sorts, it really reminds of me of aphex twins late 80s/early 90s stuff. both the tunes and the beat are sweet, probably the mastering/quality could be better, but we're all having these problems, i still haven't figured out how to make something sound good in terms of production. anyways, great track, needs a higher score for sure.

(about this song) Yeah, I was disappointed with the score it got. but if thats the public's opinion than I can't argue with that.
And the quality could be better - but after all, it's only Garage band.
